Overwhelming Success of the 31st Christmas Concert of Puertos de Tenerife 2025
The Port of Tenerife once again became the grand stage of the Canary Islands’ Christmas celebrations last night with the 31st edition of its traditional Christmas Concert. The event sold out, welcoming 8,500 attendees, and was followed live by 204,000 viewers on La 2 of Spanish Television.
Under the baton of maestro Pablo González, this year’s program revolved around dances from around the world, offering an engaging musical journey through diverse rhythms, styles, and cultures. The Tenerife Symphony Orchestra presented a repertoire featuring iconic pieces from West Side Story, as well as works by Brahms, Bizet, and Sarasate, among others. The evening combined highlights from opera, zarzuela, and the symphonic repertoire in a performance imbued with a festive spirit.
The concert also featured internationally acclaimed artists: mezzo-soprano Nancy Fabiola Herrera, tenor Juan Antonio Sanabria, violinist Javier Comesaña, and Tenerife-born singer Besay Pérez. Their talent and versatility added a special brilliance to a night that has become one of the Canary Islands’ most significant Christmas cultural events.
With a strong charitable focus, the event will allocate all proceeds from ticket sales to three non-profit organizations: Fundación Pequeño Valiente, Down Tenerife, and the Little Sisters of the Poor. In addition, Fundación DISA will contribute an extra €20,000, further reinforcing the social commitment that defines this initiative.
As is tradition, the concert was broadcast live on La 2 of Spanish Television and its International Channel, reaching audiences across different parts of the world. Once again, Puertos de Tenerife has demonstrated its ability to combine artistic excellence with solidarity in a celebration that has become a hallmark of Christmas in the Canary Islands.
The 31st edition of the Puertos de Tenerife Christmas Concert was held with the institutional sponsorship of Tenerife Despierta Emociones, the Government of the Canary Islands, Sociedad de Desarrollo, and IFTSA.
