Best Unsafe Act or Condition (UAC) Report Award for the first quarter of 2026

Terminales Canarios has presented the Best Unsafe Act or Condition (UAC) Report Award for the first quarter of 2026. Led by the Health, Safety, Environment and Occupational Risk Prevention (HSE) Department, this initiative recognises the commitment of our workforce to  continuously improving safety standards and strengthening the company’s prevention culture. The Unsafe Acts and Conditions Reporting Programme is a proactive, participative and non-punitive system that enables all employees to report unsafe acts or hazardous conditions quickly and confidentially. Its purpose is to eliminate hazards, prevent incidents and reinforce a strong safety culture across the organisation.

The Best UAC Report Award for the first quarter of 2026 has been presented to 🏆Rubén Serafín Guedes, Operator at our Port of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria site.

This recognition highlights the value of employees’ active involvement in identifying risks during their day-to-day operations. The winning UAC report is selected based on the potential level of risk associated with the unsafe act or condition identified, recognising contributions that have a tangible impact on incident prevention, workplace safety and the continuous improvement of working conditions.

The HSE Department actively encourages the reporting of unsafe acts and conditions as a key preventive tool to identify hazards before they result in incidents and to promote safer working environments. Every UAC report submitted makes a direct contribution to strengthening the company’s safety culture.

Throughout 2026, Terminales Canarios employees have continued to increase the number of UAC reports submitted, reflecting the collective commitment to workplace safety, occupational health and environmental stewardship. The award programme has been established to reinforce this proactive approach and recognise contributions that deliver a meaningful and lasting positive impact.

Through this initiative, Terminales Canarios reaffirms its commitment to safety, environmental responsibility and continuous improvement, while recognising the essential role of its people in preventing incidents and fostering a safe, responsible and sustainable working environment.
