Overwhelming Success of the 31st Christmas Concert of Puertos de Tenerife 2025
The Port of Tenerife once again became the main stage for Christmas in the Canary Islands on December 25 with the celebration of the 31st edition of its traditional Christmas Concert. The event was completely sold out, bringing together 8,500 attendees, and was watched live by 204,000 viewers on La 2 of Spanish Television (RTVE).
Under the direction of maestro Pablo González, the program focused on the theme of dances of the world, offering an engaging journey through different rhythms, styles, and cultures. The Tenerife Symphony Orchestra performed a repertoire that included iconic pieces from West Side Story, as well as works by Brahms, Bizet, and Sarasate, among others. The program combined great moments from opera, zarzuela, and the symphonic repertoire in an evening filled with festive spirit.
The concert also featured the participation of renowned internationally acclaimed artists: mezzosoprano Nancy Fabiola Herrera, tenor Juan Antonio Sanabria, violinist Javier Comesaña, and Tenerife-born singer Besay Pérez. Their talent and versatility added a special brilliance to a night that has become one of the most important cultural events of the Christmas season in the Canary Islands.
With a charitable focus, all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated entirely to three non-profit organizations.
As tradition dictates, the concert was broadcast live on La 2 of Spanish Television and its International Channel, reaching audiences in different parts of the world. Once again, Puertos de Tenerife reaffirmed its ability to combine artistic excellence and solidarity in an event that has become an unmistakable symbol of Christmas in the Islands.
The 31st edition of the Puertos de Tenerife Christmas Concert received institutional sponsorship from Tenerife Despierta Emociones, the Government of the Canary Islands, the Sociedad de Desarrollo, and IFTSA, as well as sponsorship from TERMINALES CANARIOS, among many other companies.
